Poem: Neighbor Power – Squared

It's amazing what friendly neighbors would do
When you knew them all, and they all knew you
In more simple times, for overwhelming needs
A new barn to raise, or for grain harvest deeds.

Assembling group power - to get a big job well done
While their ladies came too - to help feed everyone
Without rules or formations - every objective completed
Then members disbursed - until it all needed repeated.

Now with our lives, in more complicated conditions
We may not know, who lives beyond our wall partitions
Yet don't be surprised, when help may be needed
Who will respond to the call, with expectations exceeded.
